Addison Rugs Wellington Area Rug 5'3" x 7'7" Blue - Soft Living Room Rug for Home Decor, Bedroom & Office

In general, this is a beautiful rug. I loved the muted palette. The rug is soft with a low to medium thickness. Unfortunately, after waiting two weeks for delivery for an Amazon Prime item, it arrived damaged. The manufacturer does not properly prepare their rugs for shipment. No extra protection on the ends. Rug is rolled in plastic and taped but only zip tied on the ends. The zip tied ends make a convenient 'handle' for workers to grab and rip the plastic exposing the ends of the rug. No extra material around the rug ends, no cardboard, no folded and taped ends, etc. (I have ordered less expensive rugs with better quality rug protection.) The rug edges were black and also had a 2 inch area on the binding that was frayed. The rug clearly appeared to have been drug more than once. When I spoke with an Amazon rep about a replacement I asked if there was a way to eliminate the special courier to not only shorten the wait time (because now I have to wait another 2 weeks) but to also reduce the number of hands for this rug to be tossed around and damaged. I was told no. We'll see how it goes with the replacement order.
